Jennie’s hairstyle and secrets behind it. Life-changing hair styling tip every girl should know.
That one hair-styling tip is a high “cranial top.” What is a high “cranial top”? Let’s find out!
Jennie Hairstyle – Top 1 Tip for Beautiful Hairstyle
1. Definition of “cranial top” in hair styling
“High cranial top” is the English translation of the Chinese term “高颅骨.” This term originates from the Chinese beauty community. It refers to a large distance from the hairline to the top of the head. Typically, this distance is 1:1 with the distance from the eyebrows to the hairline.
However, not every face suits this proportion. Some faces are better suited to a “low cranial top” instead.
2. High Cranial Top or Low Cranial Top?
How to determine whether your face suits a hairstyle with a high or low cranial top:
Method 1: Take a selfie and calculate the proportions (as shown in the image below).
According to the proportion determination method above, IU in the picture on the right suits a hairstyle with a “high cranial top.” In the picture on the left, after adding more volume to the top of her hair, everything looks much more balanced.
~ If distance (2) is smaller than distance (1) → there’s no need to add extra volume to the hair as it might make the overall face appear larger.
Method 2: Determine based on face length
For those with long faces, hairstyles with a low cranial top tend to look better. Attempting to add too much volume to the top can make the face appear even longer.
Idols with slim, elongated faces suit hairstyles with a “low cranial top”:
